Sheriff's office identifies woman killed in crash near Bentley

BENTLEY, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has identified a 19-year-old woman who died in a crash last week. 

The crash happened east of Bentley Friday afternoon. Lt. Tim Myers says the preliminary investigation indicates Erin Farley's vehicle was struck when she pulled out in front of a semi. 

Farley, of Halstead, died at the scene. The 56-year-old driver of the semi was not hurt.

Authorities say a 19-year-old woman was killed when her car was hit by a semi in northern Sedgwick County.

It happened at around 1:30 p.m. Friday at 119th and 109th streets, east of Bentley. Capt. Mike Pierce with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said it appears the car either didn't stop at the intersection or it stopped and crept intersection and got hit.

The car and semi came to rest in a cornfield. 

The driver of the car died at the scene. Capt. Piece said they're still working to notify her family. 

The semi driver was not hurt.
