A Kansas woman who stopped to fill up her car with gas on the way to work wash shocked to discover a snake slithering in the touch screen at the pump.

Holly Malkames told KCTV that the Mini Mart off old 56 Highway in Gardner is a convenient stop for her, and this week she pulled up to pump six to fill up.

That's when she noticed something on the touch screen. She said at first it looked like a piece of rubber molding from the screen.

But then it started moving. When she saw the head, she knew there was a snake inside the screen. She posted a video to Facebook on Wednesday.

"Went to get gas and there was a snake INSIDE the pump! At one point it even dropped its head down where I could see it!" she said in the post.

She was able to finish getting gas. KCTV reports a gas station clerk later removed the garter snake from the pump.

On Thursday, the gas station posted a picture of one of the clerks safely removing the garden snake from the pump. It looked bigger on the screen.

Malkames said she may use a different pump now.
