Wichita man admits making threatening phone calls to pro-life group

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Wichita man has pleaded guilty to threatening an employee of a local anti-abortion organization.

U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said 22-year-old Christopher Thompson pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of making a threat. He was originally charged with four counts. 

An indictment accused Thompson of making calls to Operation Rescue in August of 2018 and threatening to kill employees and rape their daughters.

In his plea, Thompson admitted making three threatening phone calls and threatening the group's employees. He

Thompson will be sentenced September 15. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
