Wichita police arrest driver for DUI, child abuse

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police say a 24-year-old man arrested for DUI had an unrestrained child in his car and was driving recklessly. 

Jail records show David Barrios was booked just after 1 a.m. Friday for DUI, DUI with an occupant under the age of 14, child abuse, reckless driving and numerous other traffic-related charges. He was held without bond. 

Officer Kevin Wheeler said Barrios was arrested at Maple and Sycamore. He said the suspect was driving while intoxicated and had an unrestrained child in the back seat.
