Missing Wichita man found in Riverside Park

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Wichita father says his 44-year-old son who suffers from mental health issues and disappeared nearly two weeks ago has been found. 

Bob Van Dusen said on Facebook that his son, Scott, was found Thursday afternoon under a bridge at Central Riverside Park. He was taken for a psychiatric evaluation and to get his medication. 

Scott lives at a group home near 31st Street South and Hydraulic and disappeared after calling to meet his dad for lunch on Saturday, July 13.

A Wichita father is asking for the community's help in finding his 44-year-old son who suffers from mental health issues and has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Bob Van Dusen said his son, Scott, lives at a group home near 31st Street South and Hydraulic and disappeared after calling to meet his dad for lunch on Saturday, July 13. Since then, Scott was believed to have been spotted in the downtown area.

Van Dusen said his son has no identification, no money and does not have his medication. 

The group home filed a police report the Monday after his son went missing, Van Dusen said. 

Anyone with information is asked to call police, who'd like to make sure that Scott is OK.
