Bill Self named Kansan of the Year

Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self was named the Kansan of the Year by the Kansas Society of Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. 

Self has been at KU for 16 seasons and has amassed a 473-106 record with the Jayhawks. He guided KU to a national championship win in 2008, and at one point had won 14 straight Big 12 titles.
