Police find 75 pounds of meth during traffic stop on I-70

BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police in northeast Kansas say they have arrested one person after officers found 75 pounds of meth during a traffic stop.

The Bonner Springs Police Department said on Facebook that an officer stopped a vehicle on Interstate 70 Thursday afternoon. While investigating, the officer uncovered a "substantial amount" of methamphetamine.

The department's Community Action Team and Investigations Bureau responded to assist and found even more meth in the vehicle. In all, 75 pounds were seized.

The driver, who has not been identified, was taken into custody.
