Funeral set for Kansas teen killed in possible fireworks accident
A 15-year-old Kansas boy who was killed in a possible fireworks-related accident will be laid to rest on Tuesday.
An obituary says the funeral for Joshua David Berens, of Colby, will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Celebration Church, with burial at Beluah Cemetery.
Officers responded the evening of July 4th to the report of a juvenile who had been severely injured by a possible firework. Berens was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police in northwest Kansas say a boy has died following a possible fireworks related incident on the 4th of July.
Officer sin Colby responded at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday to the report of a juvenile who had been severely injured by a possible firework.
The Thomas County Attorney's Office said in a news release that EMS and law enforcement arrived and began treating the boy. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The boy's name and age were not released.
Colby police and the Kansas Fire Marshall's Office are investigating.
