LEON, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say a 19-year-old man has been killed in a head-on crash in Butler County.

It happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 400 east of Leon. Trooper Chad Crittenden with the Kansas Highway Patrol says a westbound Toyota Corolla crossed the center line and struck an eastbound Ford F-450.

The 19-year-old driver of the Toyota, later identified as Matthew Crouch of Climax, died at the scene. The 31-year-old driver of the pickup was not hurt.

The patrol's online crash log says weather conditions may have contributed to the accident. Both drivers wore seat belts.
