Missing 15-year-old Wichita girl found safe

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Wichita mother says her 15-year-old daughter who was reported as a runaway on Tuesday is back at home.

Kalasia Wilson's mother commented commented on a Wichita Police Department Facebook post Friday morning, saying her daughter was home and thanking everyone for their support. Wichita police confirmed the good news. 

Police asked for the community's help just after 7 p.m. Tuesday and said officers wanted to check Kalasia's welfare.

Wichita police are asking for the community's help in finding a runaway 15-year-old girl. 

A post on the Wichita Police Department Facebook page says Kalasia Wilson is black, stands 5-foot-6 and weighs 180 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. 

The post says Wilson is listed as a runaway and officers would like to check her welfare. It does not state where she was last seen.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
