MISSING IN KANSAS: Star Boomer

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

A missing-person mystery for more than 20 years.

Star Gail Boomer was last seen on Feb. 23, 1999, at Uncle Mike’s Bar at 49th and Metropolitan in Kansas City, Kan. Witnesses say she was involved in a violent altercation with a man, who is believed to be a life-long criminal with a history of hurting women. At one point, Star was knocked to the ground and lost consciousness. She has not been seen or heard from since.

According to prior reports, two men were charged with second-degree murder of Star, but the case was dismissed. Star is missing and believed to be dead.

The State of Kansas is offering a $5,000 Governor’s Reward for information leading to the arrest or prosecution of the person responsible for what happened to Star.
