ANTHONY, Kan. (KAKE) -

A 44-year-old south-central Kansas man has been sentenced to 29 years in prison for child sex crimes.

Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said Kevin Ray Jeter, of Anthony, was sentenced Monday. He was originally charged with multiple counts but pleaded guilty in May 2018 to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

The crimes occurred between December 2014 and October 2016, Schmidt said.

Kansas Department of Corrections records show Jeter was also sentenced in 2017 for aggravated sexual battery of a minor.
