ANDOVER, Kan. (KAKE) -

Andover Police arrested four teenaged boys in connection to car break-ins this weekend.

Three 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man were arrested on Saturday.

"Us, as well as wichita, we've all been impacted by some vehicle burglaries here lately, some stolen vehicles, that sort of thing. It is nice to actually get some results and be able to catch some of these folks," said Lt. Daimon Cundiff, Andover Police.

A neighbor near Douglas and Andover Road alerted police of suspicious people in the neighborhood on Saturday around 2:30 a.m.

The neighbor observed someone look into Karen Conger's cars.

Police responded and quickly found the four teens in a pickup with stolen property in the bed of the truck.

"I'm glad they were arrested. I feel sad for their families and how this is going to change the rest of their lives. But they had to be stopped," said Conger, who had locked all her cars and taken all valuables out.

They are encouraging people to be proactive by taking values, including lose change, locking their doors, and taking their keys.

They also want those who have been victimized to make a police report.

"At this point, we have more property than we do victims. So, anybody that's missing any property, give us a call," said Cundiff.
