GARDEN CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say two men from Tennessee have been killed in a crash at an uncontrolled intersection in rural southwest Kansas.

The accident happened at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jennie Barker and Mead Roads in Finney County. That's north of Garden City. The Kansas Highway Patrol says two pickups entered the uncontrolled intersection at the same time and collided.

One of the GMC trucks rolled onto its top and became engulfed in flames.

The two men in the pickup that caught fire were killed. The patrol identified them as 50-year-old Joe McNally, who was driving, and 57-year-old Jimmy Sherlock. They were from Memphis.

The 47-year-old Scott City man driving the other pickup was taken to a local hospital after complaining of pain.

All involved were wearing seat belts.
