Wichita native Perry Ellis Inducted into the KSHSAA

Wichita's own Perry Ellis was inducted into the KSHSAA Hall of Fame Saturday.

Ellis won four state titles during his time at Wichita Heights High School. He was also the Gatorade Player of the Year before taking his talents to Lawrence.

Perry finished his time as a Jayhawk eighth in total points with 1,798.

"It feels great. I love this city, I'm born and raised like I said a smaller city, not compared to the bigger cities that I've played in over seas, like the Istanbuls,  I just love it," said Ellis."You know everybody, it's just a great feeling. There's a lot of players who go through Kansas. A lot of players and a lot of different sports. and with that being said it's definitely an honor. "
