4.4 Oklahoma earthquake rattles Wichita area

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake in northern Oklahoma shook the Wichita area Friday afternoon. 

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the temblor occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. about 9.3 miles south-southeast of Medford, which is roughly 78 miles from Wichita. The quake had a depth of about three miles.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
