WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

People from all over Wichita gathered at Jimmie's Diner Tuesday morning to eat breakfast and raise money for GraceMed.

The organization provides healthcare for Kansas families who may not be able to afford care otherwise. GraceMed runs clinics across Kansas, including Wichita, McPherson, Topeka, and Clear Water, offering medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care.

Local celebrities and leaders, including City Council Member Bryan Frye, served coffee and breakfast, bringing in donations for the organization.

Frye said it's important Wichitans and Kansas continue to serve one another. "Wichita has always shown a great capacity of caring for one another," said Frye, "whether it's this event or another."
