Statewide Silver Alert cancelled for missing Goodland man

GOODLAND, Kan. (KAKE) -

A statewide Silver Alert has been cancelled for a Goodland man.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says 71-year-old Michael Stamm has been found safe. The KBI's office thanked the public for its help. 

A spokeswoman did not go into detail about Mr. Stamm's whereabouts.


The Goodland Police Department has issued a statewide Silver Alert of a missing Goodland man.

They need the public's help finding 71-year-old Michael Stamm. He is a white male with grey hair and a ponytail. He has hazel eyes and wears glasses. He is 5 ft. 9 in. tall and weighs approximately 265 lbs.

Stamm was last seen around 1:00 Saturday afternoon by his wife.  Officers say surveillance video shows him leaving the local Wal-Mart in Goodland around 5:11 p.m. driving a white Chevrolet Venture van with a Kansas "In God We Trust" license plate and KS tags AE740. Police say the van had about a half or a quarter tank of gas when it was last seen.

His family says Stamm has Parkinson's disease, diabetes, and has cognitive memory function disabilities.
