Sheriff: Woman broke into home, pet the family dog, washed the dishes and left

Authorities say an Ohio woman is facing burglary charges are she broke into a home, pet the victim's dog and washed the dishes.

Deputies in Vinton County were called at around 9 a.m. Monday to a burglary in Hamden. The victim told them that the suspect entered the home and sat on the couch to pet the family dog, according to ABC affiliate WCHS

The suspect then washed the dishes and left the home. The victim said they didn't know the suspect and that she was acting very strange.

Cheyenne Ewing was arrested after deputies received calls about a woman matching the suspect description who was knocking on doors in the neighborhood. She's charged with burglary. 

Deputies said Ewing appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Hamden is south-southeast of Columbus.
