Authorities at McConnell Air Force Base have ordered the evacuation of several aircraft due to the possibility of severe storms in the Wichita area.

A news release from the Air Force base says aircraft, including multiple KC-46A Pegasus and KC-135R Stratotankers, were sent to various Air Force locations that are determined to be out of danger from the storm.

Personnel at McConnell AFB are not being evacuated and are advised to take proper precautions to prepare for inclement weather.
