Kansas Humane Society needs foster homes for dogs with kennel cough

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Kansas Humane Society is in need of foster parents to care for dogs with kennel cough.

"Our isolation space is full, and the State of Kansas will not allow us to make them available for adoption," the Humane Society said on social media. "Their only options are going to foster care, or euthanasia."

The dogs in need of foster parents are medium to large in size.

"Kennel cough is contagious and similar to a doggy cold. It causes sneezing and coughing, and symptoms generally last for a few weeks. KHS provides fosters with everything needed to care for the animal. There is no cost to foster for KHS and save a life!"

You can email the Humane Society at khsfoster@kshumane.org, or call (316) 220-8713.
