At least two people are in critical condition after a shooting in south Wichita.
It happened around 7:15 p.m. on Friday night. Authorities say an officer was leaving the Wichita Patrol South station at Pawnee and Broadway when he noticed a man who seemed to be in distress sitting on his front porch across the street in the 2300 block of South Market.
When he approached the house, the officer discovered two males, a 29-year-old and a 31-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds and called EMS. The men were transported to a hospital in critical condition but the injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
Police are currently investigating how the incident happened but believe that the two men are the only ones involved.
The investigation is ongoing and no names have been released at this time.
