Police ID man pulled from Wichita pond

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita Police have released the identity of a man pulled from a pond earlier this week.

The man has been identified as Robert Dashiell, 71.   Dashiell was pulled from a pond near K-96 and Webb Road Wednesday afternoon.

Police believe it may have been a fishing accident or medical condition that caused Dashiell's death.   Autopsy results are not available.

Wichita Police are at the scene where a body has been pulled from a pond.   911 dispatchers said crews were sent to a scene at 3241 N. Toben,  in the area of K-96 and Webb Road in Wichita. 

Police believe an elderly man was fishing at the pond and fell in.   An attorney from the nearby DeVaughn James law office helped get the man out of the water,  but the man didn't survive.   Officers said no foul play is suspected.
