Wins for Kansas: Cars for the CausePosted:
One Wichita group is committed to helping families with the daily struggles of having a child diagnosed with cancer or other disease.
Hollie and Damian Cope started "Cars for the Cause" as a way to honor her father-in-law who passed away of cancer. They set out to keep his memory alive by helping other causes like kids battling cancer and helping to bring the angel of hope memorial to Kansas.
Since starting the organization seven years ago, they've seen their shows grow in size. And with that growth is a labor of love that pays off.
"Its very stressful, up until the day, but the day of it's just so rewarding," Hollie Cope said. "Seeing those little child's faces and the parents face and everybody there. It's just very rewarding."
To help with their mission, KAKE-TV and our partners, DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers are honored to them as this week's Wins for Kansas.
