Construction to close McLean Boulevard

Posted: Updated:
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Construction could cause problems for drivers in downtown Wichita.

McLean Boulevard, west of Seneca, will be closed for up to a month as crews work on the city's water system.

The project will replace 65-year-old water valves beneath McLean Boulevard.

New underground structures will be built to allow access to the valves for future operation and maintenance.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured using Meridian, Douglas and Seneca streets.
