Wins For Kansas: Cars For The Cause

Hollie and Damian Cope started Cars For The Cause as a way to honor her father-in-law who died of cancer.

"He used to go to car shows" Hollie Cope said. "We thought what better way to give back than to have car shows."

They set out to keep his memory alive by helping other causes like kids battling cancer, and helping to bring Angel Of Hope Memorial to Kansas.

Since starting the organization 7 years ago, they've seen their car shows grow in size.

"We started out in Osage Park with 14 cars and now we have about 150 to 200." Cope said.

With that growth is a labor of love that pays off.

"It's very stressful, up until the day but the day of it's just so rewarding." says Cope.

To help with their mission, KAKE-TV and our partners Devaughn James Injury Lawyers are honored to name them as this week's Wins For Kansas.
