2 Kansas boys injured in UTV accident

LONGTON, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say two young boys were hurt in a utility vehicle accident and a pickup collided in Elk County. 

The accident happened just after 5:15 p.m. Thursday on Harvest Road near Longton. The Kansas Highway Patrol said a John Deere Gator and a pickup truck met at the crest of a hill and tried to avoid a collision. The vehicles struck passenger side to passenger side.

A 9-year-old and a 6-year-old boy were taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.   They are from Longton.  The pickup truck driver wasn't hurt.
