Wichita man sentenced for sex trafficking pimped 15-year-old girl
A Wichita man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for sex trafficking of a woman and teenage girl.
U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said Johnell Carter pleaded guilty in December to two counts of sex trafficking. He was sentenced Monday.
Carter admitted he used physical force including punching and biting to make an 18-year-old woman have sex for money at Wichita hotels. Carter also admitted recruiting a 15-year-old to perform commercial sex acts at Wichita hotels.
He advertised services online.
McAllister commended the FBI, the Wichita Police Department, the Exploited and Missing Child Unit (EMCU) and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart for their work on the case.
