Friends help mother remember Sam Harter

Friends help a mother's vision to have a balloon release to remember Sam Harter today.

"It was unbelievable. We knew there would be some people. We didn't expect this many to come out and to show their love and support for Kim, Jay and Grant," said Lola Pfeifer, friend.

Sam Harter passed away after a skateboarding accident at Edgemoor Park last Sunday.

Today, dozens and dozens of people filled the park with love.

"It's just a true testament to his character. I knew he was a friend to all. And, it's just unbelievable to see you all here in support of us and to show your love to Sam," said Kim Harter, mother.

While Sam is not here, parts of him continue to live.

"Sam was an organ donor. He is a true hero. Because of him, other people's miracles were answered," said Pfeifer.

Friends have organized a GoFundMe page to help the family during this tragedy. For the link, click here.

The funeral for Sam will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
