HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Hutchinson man is accused of breaking into a local salvage yard and creating his own demolition derby.

The Hutch Post reports 19-year-old Logan Bromwell is charged with felony theft and criminal damage. The alleged crimes happened between March 31 and April 1.

Police say Bromwell broke into a salvage yard in the 1600 block of East 1st Avenue, found some vehicles that could run and began crashing them into each other. He's also accused of crashing through a gate to get another vehicle.

He even took one of the cars to a Kwik Shop, bought gas and went back to the salvage yard, according to the Post.

Bromwell remains jailed on $6,000 bond. Jail records show he's also being held on a probation violation.
