VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (KAKE) -

A woman who walked into a Virginia Beach convenience store and claimed to have a bomb will spend a year behind bars.

WVEC reports 34-year-old Crystal Mostek was found guilty earlier this year of making a bomb threat and bomb/explosive hoax. A judge sentenced her on Monday to five years, but four of those years were suspended.

Fire officials said Mostek walked into the store last April, placed a device on the counter and told the store clerk it was a bomb, threatening to blow up the store.

The device was later determined to not be a bomb.
