ON YOUR SIDE GETS ANSWERS: Blocking robocalls
In this week's KAKE 'On Your Side Gets Answers,' we're tackling an issue with PayPal that could be impacting yours or your child's accounts.
Our intern Harrison alerted us to a problem with PayPal he and his friends are experiencing.
Harrison said, "I was banned from Paypal when I was 16 for being too young. I'm 18 now and having trouble getting directions on how to reinstate my account, help!"
We contacted PayPal, which gave us these directions: in the url bar on your internet browser, type in: paypal.com/confirm card.
You'll be prompted to sign in, where you can then upload proof of identity.
Basically, this will prove you're 18 and old enough to use PayPal.
Next, back to those annoying Robocalls. Mickey from Kingman called the Investigates Tipline, asking how to deal with annoying robocalls. In his case, the caller, who's claiming to be from Medicare, is calling from one specific number.
This is how to block the number on your iPhone:
Go to your list of recent calls. On the right-hand side, click the "information" icon. You may have to scroll down a bit, but at the bottom of your screen, there's a link to block the number. Click the link, confirm, and you're good to go.
