MISSING IN KANSAS: Beverly Ward

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

Investigators are hoping to figure out a mystery behind a girl missing for decades.

Beverly Ward was last seen on July 4, 1978. She was 13 years old when she vanished from Junction City, Kan.

There are not many details in the case, as the National Institute of Justice describes on her missing persons case profile. One thing that people may have noticed is Beverly was born with an extra bone, which investigators describe as a partial finger with her little finger. She also has moles on her face and a mark on her chest.

Since so much time has passed with this case, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children created an age-progressed photo of what Beverly may look like at 53 years old.
