Missing Salina man found safe

SALINA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say a missing Salina man has been found safe.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says 79-year-old Lawrence Triplett has been found safe in Russell County on Saturday.

A silver alert has been issued for a Salina man.

The Salina Police Department says 79-year-old, Lawrence Triplett, was last seen in Salina around 10:00 pm Friday night. Triplett left his home driving a four-door, powder blue 2013 Ford Fusion with Kansas tag 805FPG.

Triplett is a white male about 5'9" tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and black oxford dress shoes.

Triplett suffers from diagnosed Alzheimer's disease. 

The Salina Police Department asks that anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Mr. Triplett contact them at 785-826-7210 or by calling 911.
