WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Wichita State Shockers had their home-opener on Friday, and beat Creighton 7-5 and 4-3 in the second game.

The Shockers canceled Saturday and Sunday's games because of the cold temperatures expected this weekend.

WSU's Hunter Gibson went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a double in the 7-5 win. WSU sophomore pitcher Liam Eddy tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in the 4-3 win over Creighton.

WSU plays at Oklahoma State on Tuesday.
