WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita State freshman center Morris Udeze will have shoulder surgery that will end his season, said WSU men's basketball coach Gregg Marshall on Tuesday.

"After looking at it with the doctor and having an MRA... it was determined there was too much pain, too much damage had been done," said Marshall. "He's going to have surgery, which will be season-ending. We hope to have him back in, I think, about five months."

Udeze averaged 3.3 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game in 16 appearances this year.
