Driver learns safe driving lesson the hard way during winter weather storm

Posted: Updated:

Arnoldo Najera was on his way to work Tuesday night, but he didn't quite make it.

"They braked in front of me and I had to get around them. I slided off the road. That's why I'm in this ditch," says Najera.

Najera's truck slid off I-235, and down into a ditch, about 30 feet. Thankfully, he was okay.

"I was just hoping I didn't flip," says Najera.

Road conditions continued to get worse Tuesday evening as the snow kept falling. Najera says his accident could have been a lot worse, and he's just glad he wasn't hurt.

"It was kind of fun. I haven't been sledding in a while, so it finally snowed," says Najera.
