The family of a missing Wichita teen is pleading for her safe return.

"It's any parent's worst nightmare,” said Deanna Garcia.

When Deanna Garcia’s daughter Rosario, 16,  didn't come home from school Tuesday, she thought the worst.

"It's just terrifying; it's heart wrenching,” she said. “I have no clue where she's at or if she's safe, who's got her, what's happening to her."

It's here where Rosario went missing. Her family says the school told them she showed up to all of her classes. It's after the bell rang that no one knows what happened.

"It's really, really scary,” said Rosario’s sister Alyisa Alfaro.

Rosario's siblings say she's smart, funny and would call them if she didn't plan on coming home, a reason they're worried something bad has happened.

They're urging her friends and classmates to speak up if they know something.

"I don't think they fully understand how serious this situation has become,” said Alfaro. “At first, it was like 'Ok, where is she? Is she with a friend?' Now, it's been two days; no one's seen from her, no one’s heard from her, so it's became a really serious deal and it's impacting our entire family."

So serious the family's bought this billboard and hung up these fliers asking that anyone who sees Rosario call them.

And has this message for anyone who knows where she is.

“Please, give me my kid back,” said Garcia. “Ya know, get in contact with me; let her contact me. Let me know she's ok, at least. I mean, I just want her home."
