No new leads in search for Kansas child rape suspect

DODGE CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police in southwest Kansas have been searching for an accused child rapist for four weeks and say there are no new leads in the case. 

Dodge City police said in a Facebook post on January 16 that 35-year-old Edy Yobani Tomas Zetino-Salazar is wanted on five counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Police Chief Drew Francis said the case involved the rape of a child among other offenses.

KAKE News reached out to the police department Tuesday morning. An administrator said there were no new updates. 

Last month's Facebook post says Zetino-Salazar drives a drives a blue 1999 Chevrolet Suburban with Kansas tag 793KPU.

Anyone with information is asked to call dispatchers at (620) 227-4646, the Dodge City Police Department at (620) 225-8126 or use the tip411 service.

Kansas Department of Corrections records show Zetino-Salazar has prior convictions of identity theft, battery and aggravated intimidation of a witness or victim.
