Police search for man accused of cutting woman's throat in Great Bend
Great Bend police are searching for a man who allegedly cut a woman's throat Thursday night.
Officers responded just after 10 p.m. to the report of a stabbing in the 1100 block of Morton Street. Police said on Facebook that they contacted a 19-year-old woman and a witness who said 34-year-old Timothy Chism cut her throat and fled the home.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
Police say Chism has not been located. He faces a charge of aggravated battery.

Kansas Department of Corrections records show Chism has prior convictions that include drug possession, lewd and lascivious behavior, assault, theft and fleeing law enforcement.
