First responders and semi-truck drivers in Oklahoma teamed up over the weekend to help prevent a man from jumping off a bridge.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol on Saturday shared a photo taken by Tif'Anee Sobrado. In it, the trucks are lined up under a bridge near 165th East Avenue in Tulsa, where a man was threatening to jump, KOCO reports.
Troopers shut down I-44 for about four hours and asked the truck drivers to park under the bridge in case the man jumped, shortening the distance of the fall from 10 to 12 feet instead of all the way to the road.
Police were able to talk the man off the bridge.
Law enforcement reminds the public to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK if you or anyone you know is having suicidal thoughts.
