Police: Crooks hit pharmacies in 2 small Kansas towns

STERLING, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say burglaries at two Kansas pharmacies over the weekend are connected.

Sterling Police Chief Derrick Ploutz said the crooks hit the Reed Pharmacy at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday. He said the same two suspects appeared in surveillance video from a pharmacy break-in in Hillsboro, more than 60 miles away, earlier that morning. 

In the Reed Pharmacy burglary, Chief Ploutz said a safe containing personal documents and money was taken. The suspects left southbound from the pharmacy, located at 118 South Broadway. Their vehicle was described as a light blue Hyundai Sonata
