MAIZE, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say two people wanted for a murder in Oklahoma have been arrested in the Wichita area.

The U.S. Marshals Service says 33-year-old La'shae Terrell and 42-year-old Kenneth Williams were arrested on Thursday. They were wanted for first-degree murder in connection to the death of Louis Poole on December 29.

Tulsa officers responded that night to a shooting on they city's west side. They arrived to find Poole dead of gunshot wounds.

The Marshals Service learned that the suspects could have been hiding out in Maize.

"Deputy Marshals were able to track down the suspects, who were staying with an associate at the Fieldstone Apartments in Maize, KS," the agency said. "The associate of the suspects was also arrested on unrelated charges."

Sedgwick County jail records show Terrell and Williams remained in custody Friday afternoon on fugitive from justice and failure to comply charges.

Fieldstone Apartments is located at 5050 North Maize Road.
