OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KAKE) -

A 44-year-old Kansas woman faces multiple charges related to allegedly hosting drinking parties for minors.

Tiffany Shalberg was arrested Thursday morning while officers were serving a warrant, KCTV reports. She was later released on $1,500 cash bond.

Prosecutors allege that she hosted parties for high schools in southern Johnson County for more than six months. She's accused of giving minors alcohol several times in 2017 and 2018. Court documents say she also gave teens alcohol at her house.

Shalberg is charged with the following:

  • Hosting an underage alcohol party
  • Three counts of contributing to a child's misconduct
  • Promoting obscenity
  • Three counts of endangering a child
  • Four counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor

Six minors, born between 2000 and 2001, are listed in court records as witnesses. A neighbor told the Kansas City station that parties were happening every day.

District Attorney Steve Howe said his office takes the charges seriously.

"We think that these are important for public safety," he said. "We also think that it is important to protect minors who, many times, don’t make correct decisions. And, to have an adult actually facilitate them committing crimes I think is horrific from our vantage point. And, I think the public is highly offended by these situations."
