WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police say a woman has been released from the hospital after she was shot twice in front of a home in Planeview.

Officers were called at around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday to a shooting in the 3100 block of South Davidson. Officer Charley Davidson said they arrived to find a 35-year-old woman who had sustained two non life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police said previously that she had been shot in the arm and torso. The victim was treated at an area hospital and released.

"The investigation at this time has revealed an unknown suspect fired multiple shots at a house, which struck the victim who was outside the residence," Davidson said. "This was not a random incident."

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call WPD detectives at (316) 268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.
