Woman remains critical after rollover crash near Mt. Hope

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) -

An 18-year-old woman is still in critical condition following a rollover crash in Sedgwick County on Christmas Day.

The accident happened at around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday near 279th and 85th streets, south of Mt. Hope. The sheriff's office believes Kaitlin Armour was trying to pass a vehicle and overcorrected, causing her SUV to roll several times. 

A supervisor at St. Francis hospital in Wichita said Wednesday that Armour's 10-month-old son has been released.

One person is in critical condition after a rollover accident in northwest Sedgwick County.

Tuesday, around 3:15 p.m. sheriffs say an 18-year-old woman was traveling with her 10-month-old boy rolled her SUV near the intersection of North 279th Street West and 85th Street North.

It is believed that she was attempting to pass another vehicle and over corrected, causing her SUV to lose control.

The mother was transported in critical condition but her baby only had minor injuries reported.

No names have been released at this time.
