KU football star arrested for domestic battery

University of Kansas football standout Anthony "Pooka" Williams has been suspended from team activities following his arrest for domestic battery.

Douglas County jail records show Williams was booked into jail Thursday afternoon for domestic battery.  The case was investigated by KU Police.  No other details have been released.

A statement from Head Coach Les Miles said, "We are aware of a reported incident involving Pooka Williams and we are taking these allegations very seriously.  We have suspended Pooka from all team-related activities pending further investigation."

Williams was a Freshman All America and first team all Big 12 running back in his first season with the Jayhawks.
