Wichita State University will be closed Wednesday to observe the National Day of Mourning for President George H.W. Bush.  All classes will be canceled.

This is the final week of classes at WSU.  "I recognize this will be a hardship for some students and instructors.  Faculty members with classes scheduled Wednesday should contact students to make it clear what needs to be done by students to complete their work for the semester." said WSU Provost Rick Muma.

WSU previously observed legal holidays for deceased Presidents Reagan in 2004 and Ford in 2007.

WSU Tech will also be closed Wednesday.
