Police identify man killed in Wichita motorcycle crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police have identified a 34-year-old man who was killed when his motorcycle collided with a truck in south Wichita.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. Thursday at Seneca and Mona streets. Officer Charley Davidson said a pickup was heading south and turned left into the path of Shane Scranton's northbound motorcycle. 

Scranton died at the scene. The 71-year-old driver of the pickup and his passenger were not hurt. 

Officer Davidson said the investigation is ongoing and the case will be presented to the DA's office. Thursday's crash was Wichita's 27th fatality accident of 2018.
