Kansas man arrested in death of 2-year-old son

Authorities have arrested a southwest Kansas man in connection to the death of his 2-year-old son.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday that 34-year-old Mikhail Lahey Sr., was booked into the Stevens County Jail for first-degree murder. 

Deputies responded at around 4 p.m. Tuesday to "a call which caused them concern for the welfare of a child" a home in the 2000 block of Road Y in Moscow. When they arrived, they found the body of Mikhail Lahey Jr.

The boy's father was detained at the scene and jailed late that night. The KBI has not said how the toddler died. 

Additional information has not been released. The investigation in ongoing.
